Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 813243 Size: SH
  1. Loosen the outlet duct clamp at the upper intake manifold cover.
  2. Remove the upper intake manifold cover from the outlet duct.
  3. Remove the upper intake manifold cover.

    4. Object Number: 798896 Size: SH
  4. Remove the intake air heater (IAH) nut.
  5. Remove the IAH wire.
  6. Remove the IAH and discard the IAH gasket.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 798896 Size: SH
  1. Install the IAH using a NEW gasket.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the IAH to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  2. Install the IAH wire.
  3. Install the IAH nut.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  4. Install the upper intake manifold cover.
  5. Install the upper intake manifold cover to the outlet duct.
  6. Tighten the outlet duct clamp at the upper intake manifold cover.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the clamp to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
