Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1601448 Size: SH
  1. Remove the wiring harness retainer from the bracket.
  2. Remove the oil level indicator tube bolt.
  3. Remove the oil level indicator tube bracket bolts.
  4. Remove the bracket.

    5. Object Number: 1335592 Size: SH
  5. Remove the fuel filter and bracket. Refer to Fuel Filter Replacement .
  6. Disconnect the return line from the return/junction block line.
  7. Remove the fuel return line clips.
  8. Remove the fuel injector return line from the injectors.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1335592 Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel injector return line to the injectors.
  2. Install the fuel return line clips.
  3. Connect the return line to the return/junction block line.
  4. Install the fuel filter and bracket. Refer to Fuel Filter Replacement .

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Install the bracket.
  6. Install the oil level indicator tube bracket bolts.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 21 N·m (15 lb ft).

  7. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 21 N·m (15 lb ft).

  8. Install the wiring harness retainer to the bracket.
  9. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming .
  10. Start the engine. If the engine stalls, repeat the above step.
  11. Once the engine starts, inspect for fuel leaks.
