Inspection Procedure
| • | Inspect the following areas: |
| - | Exhaust pipes |
| - | Seals |
| - | Three-way catalytic converters |
| - | Tailpipes |
| • | Inspect the exhaust system for the following conditions: |
| - | Broken welds |
| - | Corrosion that would cause a leak |
| - | Cracked joints |
| • | Inspect the following components: |
| - | Clamps |
| - | Brackets |
| - | Insulators |
| • | Inspect the exhaust system for cracks. Inspect the connections for stripped bolt heads. Inspect the fasteners for rusted bolt threads. |
| • | The exhaust system, including the heat shields, must be free of the following conditions: |
| - | Leaks |
| - | Binding |
| - | Grounding |
| - | Excessive vibration |
| • | If any of these conditions exist, check the exhaust system component alignment. Align as necessary. Replace as necessary. |
