Preliminary Procedures Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement . Reposition the water deflector.
1	Side Impact Sensor Bolt (Qty: 2) Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section. Procedure Loosen the bolts in order to remove the sensor. Tighten 8 N·m (71 lb in)
2	Side Impact Sensor Procedure Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
Reposition the water deflector.

Side Impact Sensor Bolt (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Loosen the bolts in order to remove the sensor.

Tighten
8 N·m (71 lb in)
