Air/Wind Noise Repair General Information
Windnoise repairs are very similar to waterleak repairs. Wind noise at a weatherstrip does not always indicate a faulty weatherstrip. A door or window adjustment may correct the condition.
| • | Align body panels, doors, and windows to reduce gaps. |
| • | Replace torn weatherstrips. |
| • | Use thumb grade sealer to shim weatherstrips. |
| • | Repair broken weld joints. |
| • | Fill in skips in adhesives and sealers. |
| • | Replace or tighten loose fasteners. |
