For 1990-2009 cars only
A DTC is cleared in only one of following three ways:
| • | The IPC clearing DTC feature. |
| • | A scan tool |
| • | The ESC module will automatically clear the DTC if the malfunction has not occurred within 100 ignition cycles. |
Disconnecting the battery or the ESC module connectors does not clear a DTC. Clear any history DTC after correcting a system fault in order to prevent future misdiagnosis.
