Go to Diagnostic System Check - Remote Keyless Entry

Use the door lock switches located on the vehicle and operate the driver/passenger door locks.

Do the door locks operate properly?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Power Door Systems

1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
2. Place the transmission in PARK (A/T), or apply the parking brake (M/T).
3. Press the vehicle hatch or trunk release switch located on the vehicle.

Does the hatch or trunk release?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Body Rear End

1. Close the driver/passenger doors.
2. Place the transmitter in range.
3. Press the transmitter LOCK button.

Does the driver and passenger door lock?

-

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 7

1. Place the transmitter in range.
2. Press the transmitter UNLOCK button. (The first press unlocks the driver door; the second press unlocks the passenger door.)

Does the driver and passenger door unlock?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
2. Place the transmission in PARK (A/T), or apply the parking brake (M/T).
3. Press the transmitter hatch release button.

Does the hatch or trunk release?

--

System OK

Go to Step 7

1. Synchronize the transmitter(s). Refer to Transmitter Programming/Synchronization .
2. Close the driver/passenger doors.
3. Use the transmitter to operate the door locks.

Do the door locks operate?

Go to Step 12

Test the transmitter battery for the following conditions:

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 9

1. Using a known good transmitter, program the transmitter. Refer to Transmitter Programming/Synchronization .
2. Close the driver/passenger doors.
3. Use the transmitter to operate the door locks.

Do the driver/passenger doors lock operate?

Go to Step 11

Go to Step 10

1. Replace the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Receiver Replacement .
2. Program the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming/Synchronization .
3. Program the TPM sensors. Refer to Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor Programming in Tire Pressure Monitor.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 12

1. Replace the inoperative transmitter.
2. Program the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming/Synchronization .

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
