The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.

A customer may want to have a factory 12 disc CD changer installed in a vehicle that did not come with it originally.

GM SPO has an installation kit for 1999 through 2004 vehicles.

Note: No provisions are made to use this kit for 1997-1998 model year Corvettes. Please do not try to retrofit this kit for the 1997-1998 model years.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
