Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Non-Telescoping Column

Caution: This vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause the following conditions:

•	Air bag deployment

•	Personal injury

•	Unnecessary SIR system repairs

In order to avoid the above conditions, observe the following guidelines:

•	Refer to SIR Component Views in order to determine if you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring.

•	If you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.

1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .
3. Remove the wire harness straps (2) from the steering column tilt head assembly (1).



4. Pop the wire harness assembly (1) from the wire harness strap (2).
5. Disconnect the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly connector.



6. Remove the 2 pan head tapping screws (1).



7. Remove the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly (1).

Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Telescoping Column

1. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .



2. Remove the 2 pan head tapping screws (1).



3. Remove the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly (1).
