Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1255917 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Disconnect the electrical switch connector.

    4. Object Number: 1255918 Size: SH
  4. Remove the shift control cable adjuster pinch nut.
  5. Loosen the nut from the shift control cable mounting bracket on the shift control assembly.
  6. Remove the cable from the bracket.

    7. Object Number: 1255919 Size: SH
  7. Remove the 4 bolts holding the shift control assembly to the floor panel.
  8. Remove the shift control assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1255919 Size: SH
  1. Install the shift control assembly with 4 bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  2. Install the shift control cable onto the bracket and tighten the nut.
  3. Install the shift control cable adjuster pinch nut.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical switch connector.
  5. Install the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
