Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 2009887 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement.
  3. Disconnect the electrical wiring connectors.
  4. Remove the shift control cable retaining clip (1) and shift control cable (2) from the shift control lever assembly.

    5. Object Number: 2009889 Size: SH
  5. Remove the shift control lever assembly mounting bolts and the shift control lever assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2009889 Size: SH
  1. Install the shift control lever assembly mounting bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the shift control lever assembly mounting bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  2. Install the cable (2) onto the shift control lever assembly and secure the cable with a new shift control cable retaining clip (1).
  3. Adjust the cable. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment.
  4. Connect the electrical wiring connectors.
  5. Install the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
