Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1863840 Size: SH
  1. Remove the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the radiator grill upper cover.
  3. Remove the radiator grill lower cover.
  4. Disconnect the auxiliary cooling fan connector.
  5. Remove the auxiliary cooling fan retaining bolts.
  6. Remove the auxiliary cooling fan downward.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

    Warning: To help avoid personal injury or damage to the vehicle, a bent, cracked, or damaged fan blade or housing should always be replaced.

  1. Install the auxiliary cooling fan using the retaining bolts and tighten to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
  2. Install the radiator grill upper and lower covers.
  3. Connect the battery negative cable.
