DW-110-060 Engine Support Fixture

1. Remove the battery and tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.
2. Drain the transaxle fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Replacement.
3. Remove the air filter housing.
4. Remove the engine control module (ECM) bracket. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement.



5. Disconnect the shift control cable from the transaxle. Refer to Shift Control Cable Replacement.



6. Disconnect the transmission range (TR) switch electrical connector (1).
7. Disconnect the transaxle wiring electrical connector (2).
8. Disconnect the input speed sensor electrical connector (3) and the output speed sensor electrical connector (4).



9. Remove the upper 2 transaxle-to-engine bolts.
10. Remove the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement.



11. Install the DW-110-060 engine support fixture .
12. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
13. Remove the engine under covers. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.



14. Remove the engine crossmember. Refer to Engine Front Crossmember Replacement.
15. Remove the exhaust front pipe. Refer to Front Pipe Replacement.



16. Remove the 3 bolts and the front damper bush bracket.
17. Remove the drive axle shafts. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement.



18. Remove the oil cooler line from the transaxle. Refer to Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement.



19. Remove the 6 flywheel-to-torque converter bolts.



20. Remove the rear transaxle mounting bracket bolts.



21. Support the transaxle assembly using the supporting jack.



22. Remove the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolts.



23. Remove the left lower engine-to-transaxle bolts near the rear transaxle mounting bracket side.



24. Remove the right lower engine-to-transaxle bolts near the front damper bush bracket.



25. Remove the left transaxle mounting bracket bolts. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side.
26. Carefully remove the transaxle assembly from the vehicle.

1. Install the transaxle into the vehicle and support the transaxle assembly using the supporting jack.



2. Install the left transaxle mounting bracket bolts. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




3. Install the right lower engine-to-transaxle bolts near the front damper bush bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the right lower engine-to-transaxle bolts to 73 N·m (54 lb ft).




4. Install the left lower engine-to-transaxle bolts near the rear transaxle mounting bracket side.

Tighten
Tighten the left lower engine-to-transaxle bolts to 73 N·m (54 lb ft).




5. Install the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolts to 31 N·m (23 lb ft).




6. Install the rear transaxle mounting bracket bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the rear transaxle mounting bracket bolts to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).




7. Install the 6 flywheel-to-torque converter bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the flywheel-to-torque converter bolts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).




8. Install the upper transaxle-to-engine bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the upper transaxle-to-engine bolts to 73 N·m (54 lb ft).




9. Install the oil cooler line to the transaxle. Refer to Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement.
10. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement.



11. Install the front damper bush bracket bolts and the bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the front damper bush bracket bolts to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).

12. Install the drive axle shafts. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement.



13. Install the exhaust front pipe. Refer to Front Pipe Replacement.
14. Install the engine crossmember. Refer to Engine Front Crossmember Replacement.
15. Install the engine under covers. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement



16. Lower the vehicle.
17. Remove the DW-110-060 fixture from the vehicle.



18. Install the TR switch electrical connector (1).
19. Disconnect the transaxle wiring electrical connector (2).
20. Disconnect the input speed sensor electrical connector (3) and the output speed sensor electrical connector (4).



21. Install the shift control cable to the transaxle. Refer to Shift Control Cable Replacement.
22. Adjust the shift control cable. Refer to Shift Control Cable Adjustment.
23. Install the ECM bracket. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement.



24. Install the air filter housing.
25. Install the battery and tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.
26. Add fluid to the transaxle. Refer to Transmission Fluid Replacement.
27. Check the fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check.
