Removal Procedure
  1. Complete the lever pin up procedure. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling .

    2. Object Number: 159792 Size: SH
  2. Loosen the cable at the cable adjuster.

    3. Object Number: 159787 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the front cable from the rear cables.

    4. Object Number: 159752 Size: SH
  4. Remove the release handle and the cable from the vehicle. Refer to Parking Brake Release Handle Assembly Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 159792 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the front cable from the lever.

    6. Object Number: 159779 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the front cable from the lever retainer.

    7. Object Number: 159781 Size: SH
  7. Remove the rubber grommet by gently pulling it through the cowl.
  8. Remove the front cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the front cable through the vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 159781 Size: SH
  2. Install the rubber grommet by firmly pressing it into the cowl.

    3. Object Number: 159779 Size: SH
  3. Connect the cable to the lever retainer.

    4. Object Number: 159792 Size: SH
  4. Connect the front cable to the lever.

    5. Object Number: 159752 Size: SH
  5. Install the release handle and the cable. Refer to Parking Brake Release Handle Assembly Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 159787 Size: SH
  6. Connect the front cable to the rear cables.
  7. Remove the pin from the lever.
  8. Move the lever to the FULL up position.

    9. Object Number: 321726 Size: SH
  9. Measure the threads on the equalizer. Adjust the threads to the following specifications:
    10. • Passenger/Cargo to 13 mm (0.511 in)
    • Cutaway/Upfitters to 21 mm (0.826 in)
  10. Verify that the vehicle will hold position with the brake lever depressed.
  11. If additional adjustments need to be made, refer to Park Brake Adjustment .
