Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 830230 Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Support the rear axle with a safety stand.
  3. Remove the spring shackle (5) to the leaf spring (1) mounting nut and bolt (2).
  4. Remove the spring shackle (5) to the frame bracket (4) mounting nut and bolt (3).
  5. Remove the spring shackle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 830230 Size: SH
  1. Install the spring shackle (5) to the leaf spring (1) and frame bracket (4).
  2. Install the spring shackle (5) to frame bracket (4) mounting nut and bolt (3). Do not tighten the nut.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the spring shackle (5) to the leaf spring (1) mounting nut and bolt (2).

    4. Tighten

        • Tighten the spring shackle to frame mounting nut to 115 N·m (85 lb ft).
        • Tighten the spring shackle to leaf spring mounting nut to 85 N·m (63 lb ft).
  4. Remove the rear axle support.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
