Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 859489 Size: SH
  1. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement .
  2. Remove the nuts (2) securing the knee bolster (1) to the knee bolster brackets.
  3. Remove the knee bolster (1).

    4. Object Number: 859498 Size: SH
  4. Remove the nuts (1) securing the inner and outer knee bolster brackets (2) to the instrument panel (I/P).
  5. Remove the knee bolster brackets (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 859498 Size: SH
  1. Align the inner and outer knee bolster brackets (2) to the I/P.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the nuts (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  3. Install the knee bolster (1) to the knee bolster brackets.
  4. Install the nuts (2).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  5. Install the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement .
