Engine Control Module Programming and Setup With RPO LLY
The following service procedures require either a programming or a setup event performed for a complete repair.
ECM Replacement
If the engine control module (ECM) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed:
- Capture and restore the Option data.

Important: The Option data collected from the ECM that was replaced must be restored in the new ECM before programming.
- Restore the Option data in the new ECM.

Important: Clear any DTCs that may have set after completing the programming procedure.
- Enable ECM Reprogramming--Refer to
Service Programming System (SPS)
 .

- Start and idle vehicle.

- Using the scan tool, perform the Turbocharger Learn Procedure--Refer to
Turbocharger Learn
 .

- If necessary, perform the following:

| •  | Engine Oil Life Remaining--Use scan tool to reset Engine Oil Life. |

| •  | Fuel Filter Life--Use scan tool to reset Fuel Filter Life. |
