 Halogen Leak Detector
Removal Procedure
- Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to 
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
 .
 
- Remove the coolant recover reservoir. Refer to 
Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement
 .
 
- Remove the grille. Refer to 
Grille Replacement
 .
 
- Remove the front evaporator hose nut  (1) from the condenser.
 
- Remove the evaporator inlet hose nut (1) from the front evaporator tube hose.
 
- Remove the evaporator inlet hose from the front hose.
 
- Remove the nut from the rear evaporator (If Equipped).
 
- Remove the front evaporator hose from the vehicle.
 
- Remove the sealing washers.
 
Installation Procedure
- Install the new sealing washers. Refer to 
Sealing Washer Replacement
 .
 
- Install the front evaporator tube into the vehicle.
 
- Install the front evaporator tube to the rear evaporator tube.
 
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the rear evaporator tube retaining nut (1)(If Equipped).
 
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
- Install the evaporator inlet hose to the front evaporator tube.
 
- Install the evaporator inlet hose nut to the front evaporator tube.
 
Tighten
Tighten the nut (1) to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
- Install the front evaporator tube to the condenser.
 
- Install the front evaporator tube nut (1) to the condenser.
 
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
- Install the grille. Refer to 
Grille Replacement
 .
 
- Install the coolant recover reservoir. Refer to 
Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement
 .
 
- Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to 
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
 .
 
- Leak test the fittings of the components using the 
J 39400-A 
 .
