Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
 in Engine
Electrical.

- Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
 in Engine Controls - 3.4L
or
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
in Engine Controls - 3.8L.

- Disconnect the electrical
connector (2) from the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.

- Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor (1) from the liquid
line.

Installation Procedure
- Lubricate a new O-ring seal with mineral base 525 viscosity
refrigerant oil.

- Install the new O-ring seal.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the A/C refrigerant
pressure sensor (1) to the liquid line.

Tighten
Tighten the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor to 4.7 N·m
(41 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector (2) to the A/C refrigerant pressure
sensor.

- Install the air cleaner and duct assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
 in Engine Controls - 3.4L
or
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
in Engine Controls - 3.8L.

- Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
in Engine
Electrical.
