Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the right front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the right front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement .

Transaxle Brace Bolts (Qty: 5)

Tip
Tighten bolts in specified sequence.

Tighten:
50 N·m (37 lb ft)

Transmission Brace Replacement RPOs LZ9 / LZE

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1551855 Size: SH
  1. Remove the right engine mount bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side .

    2. Object Number: 1619383 Size: SH
  2. Remove the transmission brace bolts (2).
  3. Remove the transmission brace (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1619383 Size: SH
  1. Install the transmission brace (1).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the transmission brace bolts (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the right engine mount bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side .
