Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement.
2. Remove the mode valve assembly. Refer to Mode Valve Assembly Replacement.
3. Remove the heater core. Refer to Heater Core Replacement.

Evaporator Case Assembly Screw (Qty: 17)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Remove the heat stakes that secure the HVAC module assembly upper case to the HVAC module lower case using a small chisel.

Tighten
1.5 N·m (13 lb in)
