Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement JE4

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

    2. Object Number: 1500652 Size: SH
  2. Remove the electrical connector bolt from electronic brake control module (EBCM).
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from EBCM.
  4. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 washers and remove the EBCM from the bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1500652 Size: SH
  1. Install EBCM to bracket.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the 4 EBCM mounting bolts and washers.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the EBCM mounting bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  3. Connect the EBCM electrical connector.
  4. Install the EBCM electrical connector bolt.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the EBCM electrical connector bolt to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Perform the diagnostic system check.
