Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the air cleaner layer. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement .
  2. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .

    3. Object Number: 705539 Size: SH
  3. Clean the area around the fuel pressure connection with GM X-30A or equivalent.
  4. Remove the fuel pressure connection core (2) using a standard valve core removal and installation tool.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 705539 Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel pressure connection core assembly (2) using a standard valve core removal and installation tool.
  2. Tighten the fuel filler cap.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable.
  4. Inspect for leaks.
    5. 4.1. Turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
    4.2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
    4.3. Turn ON the ignition.
    4.4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
  5. Install the fuel pressure connection valve cap (1).
  6. Install the air cleaner layer. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement .
