Removal Procedure
  1. Position the front wheels and the steering wheel straight ahead.
  2. Mark the position of the steering gear input shaft and the cardan joint of the lower steering shaft.
  3. Remove the intermediate shaft from the steering gear. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 905567 Size: SH
  4. Remove the following components:
    5. • Protective cap (2)
    • Input shaft seal (1)

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 905567 Size: SH
  1. Install the input shaft seal (1).
  2. Install the input shaft protecting cap (2) while making sure the marks on the protective cap (2) and steering box coincide.
  3. Align the marks on the cardan joint and the steering gear input shaft. Position the cardan joint on the steering gear input shaft.
  4. Install the intermediate shaft. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement .
