Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1867171 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Disconnect the vehicle's engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the glow plug control module.
  3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the glow plug control module.

  4. Remove the glow plug control module bolts (1).
  5. Remove the glow plug control module.
  6. Remove the glow plug control module bracket bolts (2), if required.
  7. Remove the glow plug control module bracket, if required.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1867172 Size: SH
  1. Position the glow plug control module bracket to the fuel pipe bracket, if required.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the glow plug control module bracket bolts (2), if required.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Position the glow plug control module to the bracket.
  4. Install the glow plug control module bolts (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) to the glow plug control module.
  6. Connect the vehicle's engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the glow plug control module.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  8. If a NEW glow plug control module was installed, program the module. Refer to Control Module References.
