Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle, if required. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

    2. Object Number: 821179 Size: SH
  2. If equipped with a ML6 transmission, remove the clutch return spring.

    3. Object Number: 857774 Size: SH
  3. If equipped with the 8.1L engine with a MM7/MSG/MPU or MSC, remove the clutch return spring.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 857774 Size: SH
  1. If equipped with the 8.1L engine, with a MM7/MSG/MPU or a MSC, install the clutch return spring.

    2. Object Number: 821179 Size: SH
  2. If equipped with a MLG transmission, install the clutch return spring.
  3. Lower the vehicle, if required.
