Fuel Filter Replacement Primary

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
2. If equipped, disconnect the sensor from the filter.
3. If equipped, remove the water separator bowl.
4. Remove the fuel filter from the fuel filter head.




Important: If the fuel filter is plugged, inspect the fuel tank internally and clean if necessary. Refer to Fuel System Cleaning .

5. Inspect the fuel filter.

1. Install the fuel filter.
2. If equipped, install the water separator bowl.
3. If equipped, connect the sensor connector.
4. Inspect for leaks.
