Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1486644 Size: SH
  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Block the wheels.
  3. Drain all of the air reservoirs. Refer to Air Brake Reservoir Draining .
  4. Disconnect the wiring harness connector.
  5. Remove the trailer air brake stop lamp switch.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1486644 Size: SH
  1. Install the trailer air brake stop lamp switch.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the trailer air brake stop lamp switch to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  2. Connect the wiring harness connector.
  3. Start the engine and build up the system air pressure.
  4. Test the brakes for proper operation.
  5. Remove the wheel blocks.
