Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2008 🢒 Kodiak C-Series (Conventional) C6/C7/C8 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 7.8L 🢒 Auxiliary Engine Oil Filter Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Drain the auxiliary engine oil filter. Refer to Auxiliary Engine Oil Filter Draining .

    2. Object Number: 1386310 Size: SH
  2. Place a suitable container under the drain plug (2) to catch the oil.
  3. Remove the drain plug (2).
  4. Loosen the vent plug (1).
  5. Loosen the auxiliary engine oil filter end cap clamp.
  6. Remove the auxiliary engine oil filter housing end cap.
  7. Remove the auxiliary engine oil filter from the auxiliary engine oil filter housing.
  8. If the housing requires replacement, perform steps 9-11.
  9. Disconnect all auxiliary engine oil filter hoses from the auxiliary engine oil filter housing. Refer to Auxiliary Engine Oil Filter Hose Replacement .

    10. Object Number: 1255967 Size: SH
  10. Remove the auxiliary engine oil filter housing mounting bolts and the auxiliary engine oil filter housing from the auxiliary engine oil filter housing mounting bracket.
  11. Note the location for installation and remove the adapters from the auxiliary engine oil filter housing.

Installation Procedure
  1. If the auxiliary housing requires installation, perform steps 2-4.
  2. Install the adapters to the auxiliary engine oil filter housing.

  3. Install the auxiliary engine oil filter housing to the auxiliary engine oil filter housing mounting bracket with mounting bolts.
  4. Connect all auxiliary engine oil filter hoses to the auxiliary engine oil filter housing. Refer to Auxiliary Engine Oil Filter Hose Replacement .
  5. Install the new auxiliary engine oil filter into the auxiliary engine oil filter housing.
  6. Install the auxiliary engine oil filter housing end cap into the same position as removed.
  7. Install the auxiliary engine oil filter end cap clamp.

  8. Install the drain plug (2).
  9. Remove the vent plug (1) and fill the auxiliary engine oil filter housing.
