Tools Required
Important: Ensure that the 12 valve bridge guides are pressed into place to a final height of (a) 37-38 mm (1.46-1.50 in).
- Install the valve bridge guides in the cylinder head with 
J 43268 
 .
 
| 1.1.  | Apply engine oil to the valve bridge guide outer circumference. | 
 
| 1.2.  | Attach the valve bridge guide installer to the bridge guide. | 
 
| 1.3.  | Use a brass hammer to tap the guide into position from the cylinder head upper face. | 
 
- Apply clean engine oil to the valve stem.
 
- Insert the valve into the proper port.
 
- Install the valve spring seat to the cylinder head.
 
Important: The painted part of the valve springs, close spaced, coils must be towards the cylinder head.
- Install the valve spring with the retainer.
 
- Compress the valve springs, using the 
J 43263 
 .
 
Important: Apply a small amount of grease to the end of the valve. This will help retain the valve keys in position while releasing tool 
J 43263 
 .
- Apply a small amount of grease on the end of the valve stem before installing in the valve guide.
 
- Install the valve keys to the valve stem.
 
Important: Make sure that the valve keys are installed properly before proceeding to the next set of valves.
- Slowly release the 
J 43263
