J 41712 Oil Pressure Switch Socket

Note: Clean the area around the sensor. Do not allow debris to enter the engine.

1. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector.



2. Using J 41712 , remove the oil pressure sensor (1).

1. Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480), or equivalent to the threads of the oil pressure sensor.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Using J 41712 , install the oil pressure sensor (1).

Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 49 N·m (36 lb ft).




3. Connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
4. Inspect and add engine oil if necessary.
