Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2009 🢒 Kodiak C-Series (Conventional) C6/C7/C8 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 7.2L (Caterpillar) 🢒 Engine Front Mount Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Support the engine using suitable safety stands.
  3. Disconnect any engine harness clips or line routing on the engine mount.
  4. Use a suitable engine hoist to lift weight off the engine mounts.
  5. Remove the engine mount brackets off of the mounts. Refer to Engine Front Mount Bracket Replacement.

    6. Object Number: 816287 Size: SH
  6. Remove the engine front mount C channel to frame bolts.
  7. Remove the engine front mount and outer frame mount from frame.

    8. Object Number: 816300 Size: SH
  8. Remove the engine front mount assembly from the C channel bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 816300 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine front mount to the C channel bracket.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the engine front mount to C channel bracket bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the engine front mount to C channel bolts to 160 N·m (120 lb ft).

  3. Install the engine front mount assembly to frame.
  4. Install the engine front mount C channel to frame bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the engine front mount C channel to frame bolts to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).

  5. Install the engine front mount bracket. Refer to Engine Front Mount Bracket Replacement.
  6. Lower the engine on to the mounts.
  7. Install the engine mount brackets to engine mounts.

    8. Object Number: 890491 Size: SH
  8. Install the engine mount bracket to engine mount bolts.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the engine front mount bracket-to-engine mount bolts to 240 N·m (178 lb ft).

  9. Install any engine harness clips or lines routing on the engine mount bracket.
  10. Remove the engine safety stands and engine hoist.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
