Engine Flywheel Installation Automatic Transmission

Note: Ensure the flex plate is installed correctly. Engine Side is stamped on the flex plate to assist with installation.

1. Install the flex plate.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the bolts.

Tighten the bolts following a criss-cross pattern.

•	Tighten the bolts a first pass in sequence to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

•	Tighten the bolts a second pass in sequence to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).

•	Tighten the bolts a final pass in sequence to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).

1. Install the engine flywheel.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the engine flywheel bolts.

Tighten the fasteners following a criss-cross pattern.

•	Tighten the bolts a first pass in sequence to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

•	Tighten the bolts a second pass in sequence to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).

•	Tighten the bolts a final pass in sequence to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).
