    Object Number: 1309986 Size: SH
  1. Install NEW valve rocker arm cover grommets and use NEW valve rocker arm cover bolts if they are serviced with the grommet.
  2. Install a NEW valve rocker arm cover gasket if the gasket was removed from the valve rocker arm cover.
  3. Install the valve rocker arm cover.
  4. Install the valve rocker arm cover bolts.

    5. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Tighten the valve rocker arm cover bolts (1-7) in sequence, using 2 passes.
    6. 5.1. Tighten the valve rocker arm cover bolts (1-7) a first pass to 6 N·m (54 lb in).
    5.2. Tighten the valve rocker arm cover bolts (1-7) a final pass to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
