Removal Procedure
  1. Set the parking brake.
  2. Block the rear wheels.
  3. Raise the frame until the front tires clear the floor.

    4. Note: Raise the frame high enough in order to allow the spring to clear the rear spring bracket when you lower the axle.

  4. Remove the front wheel if necessary.
  5. Support the frame using suitable safety stands.
  6. Support the axle with a jack.

  7. Remove the following components:
    8. 7.1. The nuts (4, 6)
    7.2. The washers.
    7.3. The bolt (12).
  8. Lower the axle far enough in order to allow the spring shackle (8) to clear the hanger and allow removal of the spring shackle (8).
  9. Remove the bolt (10) and the washers.
  10. Remove the spring shackle (8).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 376794 Size: SH
  1. Install the shackle (8) to the spring (7).
  2. Install the following components:
    3. 2.1. The bolt (10)
    2.2. The washers
    2.3. The nut (6)
  3. Raise the spring.
  4. Guide the shackle assembly (8) into the hanger aligning the holes.

    5. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Install the following components:
    6. 5.1. The bolt (12)
    5.2. The washers
    5.3. The nut (4)

    Tighten
    Tighten the rear spring hanger shackle assembly nuts (4, 6) to 330 N·m (243 lb ft).

    5.4. Install the front wheel if removed.
    5.5. Remove the jack from under the axle.
    5.6. Lower the vehicle.
    5.7. Remove the blocks from the wheels.
