On some vehicles, the front center console compartment or ashtray door may not open or close as intended.
Possible Causes
| • | The electrical harness attached to or in the vicinity of the front compartment is interfering with its operation. |
| • | The anti-rattle tape on the instrument panel wiring harness may have become loose and tangled in the compartment door hinge mechanism. |
| • | The linkage arm may be damaged or dislodged. |
Correct the above causes as required.
If the door linkage is damaged or dislodged, replace the linkage.
