Did you perform the Remote Keyless Entry System Check?

Go to Remote Keyless Entry System Check

Press the LOCK button then the UNLOCK button on each power door lock switch. Observe the driver's door lock.

Does the door lock and unlock correctly?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 3

Use a test light in order to probe between the Remote Control Door Lock (RCDLR) connector terminal A and the ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 4

1. Use a test light in order to probe between the RCDLR connector terminal A and the ground.
2. Press the UNLOCK button on either power door switch while observing the test light.

Did the test light illuminate when pressing the UNLOCK button on either door lock switch?

Go to Step 9

1. Program a known good keyless transmitter. Refer to Transmitter Programming
2. Press the following buttons (one at a time) on the keyless entry transmitter in order to test the keyless entry system:

•	The LOCK button

•	The UNLOCK button

•	The rear compartment release button

Do all of the keyless entry system functions work?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the inoperative keyless remote transmitter.

Has the repair been made?

--

Go to Step 11

Replace the RCDLR. Refer to Receiver Replacement

Has the repair been made?

--

Go to Step 11

--

1. Inspect CKT 694 for a short to B+ between the driver's door lock actuator and the RCDLR.
2. Replace the RCDLR if no short to B+ is found. Refer to Receiver Replacement .

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 11

1. Inspect the following circuits for an open or high resistance:

•	CKT 694 between the driver's door lock actuator and the RCDLR

•	CKT 295 between the driver's door lock actuator and S315

2. If CKT 694 is OK, replace the driver's door lock actuator.

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 11

--

1. Inspect CKT 694 between the driver's door lock actuator and the RCDLR for a short to ground.
2. Replace the RCDLR if CKT 694 is OK. Refer to Receiver Replacement .

Has the repair been made?

--

Go to Step 11

--

1. Ensure that the ignition switch is in the LOCK position.
2. Reconnect any connectors disconnected.
3. Install any components you removed.
