Use a DMM in order to inspect FUSE 38 for an open.

Is FUSE 38 open?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

1. Use a DMM to inspect CKT 43 from FUSE 38 terminal B2 to auxiliary power drop connector terminal B for a short to ground.
2. Replace FUSE 38.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Cigar Lighter/Auxiliary Outlets System Check

System OK

1. Set the ignition switch to RUN.
2. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe between the auxiliary power drop connector terminal C and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 6

1. Set the ignition switch to OFF.
2. Use a DMM to inspect circuit 150 between the auxiliary power drop connector terminal C and S213 for an open.

Is there an open in circuit 150?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in circuit 150.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Cigar Lighter/Auxiliary Outlets System Check

System OK

Use a DMM in order to inspect circuit 150 between S213 and G205 for an open.

Is there an open in circuit 150?

Go to Step 10

Repair the open in circuit 150.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Cigar Lighter/Auxiliary Outlets System Check

System OK

Replace the auxiliary power drop connector. Refer to Floor Console Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement for service procedure.
