DEFINITION: The horizontal operation of the seat is not smooth (jerky). Horizontal operation is difficult.
The adjuster shoes or channels are incorrectly lubricated.	Lubricate the adjuster upper channel and the plastic shoes.
The adjuster horizontal actuator gear is attached too tightly to the rack gear.	Refer to Power Seat Adjuster Does Not Move Horizontally .
The adjuster shoes are too tight in the upper channel.	Replace the adjuster.

Condition	Action
The horizontal actuator is incorrectly adjusted to the rack gear.	Refer to Power Seat Adjuster Does Not Move Horizontally .

The horizontal drive cable is disconnected or damaged.

•	Inspect the horizontal drive cables.

•	If the cables are damaged, replace the cables.

The horizontal actuator is inoperative.

Replace the horizontal actuator assembly.

Condition	Action
The vertical drive cable is disconnected or damaged.	Inspect the vertical drive cable. If the cable is damaged, replace the cable.
The vertical gearnut is inoperative.	Replace the vertical actuator assembly.
