Loose/worn joints from the steering column to the power steering gear

1. Inspect the joints from the steering column to the power steering gear for correct torque. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column-Tilt.
2. Replace the joints from the steering column to the power steering gear. Refer to Steering Column Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column-Tilt.

Loose power steering gear

Tighten the power steering gear mounting bolts to specifications. Refer to Steering Gear Replacement

Loose tie rods

1. Inspect the tie rods. Refer to Power Steering System Inspection .
2. Replace the tie rods. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement or Steering Linkage Inner Tie Rod Replacement

Worn wheel bearings

Replace the hub and wheel bearing assemblies. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Bearing Replacement in Front Suspension.
