Rear Compartment Lid Applique Replacement Impala

1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Disconnect the rear compartment lid applique harness connector from the compartment lid harness.
3. Remove the wing nuts from the studs on the rear compartment lid applique.
4. Remove the rear compartment lid applique from the rear compartment lid.
5. Remove the wiring harness grommet from the rear compartment lid using a small flat-bladed tool.
6. Remove the wiring harness from the rear compartment lid.
7. Place the rear compartment lid applique face down on a clean, cloth covered surface.
8. Remove the backup lamp sockets from the rear compartment lid applique, turning counterclockwise.
9. Remove the backup lamp bulbs from the sockets.
10. Remove the wiring harness from the retainers on the rear compartment lid applique.

1. Install the wiring harness to the rear compartment lid.
2. Install the grommet to the rear compartment lid using a small flat-bladed tool.
3. Install the backup lamp bulbs to the sockets.
4. Install the wiring harness to the rear compartment lid applique retainers.
5. Install the sockets to the backup lamp, turning clockwise.
6. Install the rear compartment lid applique to the rear compartment lid.
7. Install the wing nuts to the studs on the rear compartment lid applique and hand tighten.
8. Connect the rear compartment lid applique harness connector to the rear compartment lid harness.
9. Close the rear compartment.
