Removal Procedure
- If the seat is equipped with a driver side air bag, disable the SIR system.
Refer to 
Disabling the SIR System 
 in SIR.
 
- Remove the front seat bolts.
 
- Remove the head restraint. Refer to 
Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement 
.
 
- Tip the seat forward and disconnect the electrical connector from the
seat electrical harness.
 
- Disengage the seat hook attachments from the floor pan.
 
- Tip the seat forward to expose the vertical drive cables (3 or 4).
 
- To remove either cable perform the following procedure:
 
| 7.1.  | Bend the flexible cable at the center. | 
 
| 7.2.  | Pull the cable out of the motor (1 or 2) and the drive screw. | 
 
Installation Procedure
- Insert the end of the replacement cable (3 or 4) into the drive screw.
 
- Bend the cable and insert the other end into the motor (1 or 2).
 
- If required, repeat the above procedure for the second drive cable.
 
Important: Examine all 4 drive cables to ensure that the cables are straight.
- Connect the electrical connector to the seat wire harness and test the seat
for proper operation.
 
- Tip the seat forward and engage the seat hook attachments to the floor pan.
 
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the bolts that secure the adjuster to the floor pan.
 
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).
- Install the head restraint. Refer to 
Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement 
.
 
- Enable the SIR system. Refer to 
Enabling the SIR System 
in SIR.
