Removal Procedure

    Notice: DO NOT apply paint or clear coat to the antenna. This will damage the function of the antenna, causing poor reception or loss of signal reception.


    Object Number: 1491976 Size: SH
  1. Remove the right rear upper quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Lower the rear of the headliner for access to the antenna/cable attachment. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Adjust the antenna cable mastic patches for access.
  4. Disconnect the antenna cables from the antenna base cable connectors.
  5. Remove the antenna base bolt.

  6. Disengage the retainers at the inside of the roof.
  7. Remove the antenna base assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 878369 Size: SH
  1. Route the antenna base cables through the roof opening.

    2. Object Number: 1491976 Size: SH
  2. Install the antenna base to the roof.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Secure the antenna base with the bolt.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the antenna base bolt to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  4. Connect the antenna cables to the antenna base cable connectors.
  5. Install the antenna cable mastic patches.
  6. Install the rear of the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  7. Install the right rear upper quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
