Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1551867 Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector (4).

    3. Object Number: 1402008 Size: SH

    Important: Do not allow debris to enter the oil passages of the intake manifold.

  3. Remove the oil pressure sensor (706) and washer (707).
  4. Remove the oil filter (452) and O-ring seal (454).
  5. Inspect the O-ring seal (454) for cuts or damage.
  6. If the filter is plugged or the O-ring seal is cut or damaged, replace the filter and O-ring seal as an assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1402008 Size: SH
  1. Install a NEW oil filter (452) and O-ring seal (454).
  2. Apply sealant to the threads of the NEW oil pressure sensor. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the oil pressure sensor (706) and washer (707).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the sensor to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  4. Connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector (4).
  5. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
