Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1957935 Size: SH
  3. Remove the engine mount to front subframe retaining nuts (1).
  4. Lower the vehicle.

    5. Object Number: 1957936 Size: SH
  5. Position the EN 46114  (2) on the engine (1).

    6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Install the EN 46114 to cylinder head retaining bolts (3).

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (36 lb ft).

    Important: When lifting the engine assembly, observe the clearance between the rear of the engine assembly and the dash panel.

  7. Use a suitable engine lifting tool to raise the engine until the weight of the engine is removed from the right hand engine mount.

    8. Object Number: 1957939 Size: SH
  8. Remove the right hand engine mount to engine mount bracket retaining nut (4).

    9. Important: If required raise the engine further to provide adequate space.

    Important: When lifting the engine assembly, observe the clearance between the rear of the engine assembly and the dash panel.

    Important: DO NOT distort or bend the right hand engine mount heat shield (3).

  9. Remove the right hand engine mount (2) from the right hand engine mount bracket (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1957939 Size: SH

    Important: DO NOT distort or bend the right hand engine mount heat shield (3).

  1. Position the right hand engine mount (2) on the right hand engine mount bracket (1).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the right hand engine mount to engine mount bracket retaining nut (4).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).

  3. Lower the engine until the weight is resting on the right hand engine mount.

    4. Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Raise the vehicle.

    5. Object Number: 1957935 Size: SH
  5. Install the engine mount to front subframe retaining nuts (1).

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).

  6. Install the engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement.
  7. Lower the vehicle to the ground.

    8. Object Number: 1957936 Size: SH
  8. Remove the EN 46114 to cylinder head retaining bolts (3).
  9. Remove the EN 46114  (2) from the engine (1).
