Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1265327 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Disconnect the sensor electrical connector.

    4. Object Number: 1265328 Size: SH
  4. Remove the timing belt front cover. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
  5. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor bolts.
  6. Remove the CMP sensor from the top.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1265328 Size: SH
  1. Install the CMP sensor and bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the CMP bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  2. Install the timing belt front cover, the crankshaft pulley, the accessory drive belt, and the air filter. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
  3. Connect the sensor electrical connector.
  4. Install the engine cover.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
