Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1256162 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
  3. Disconnect electrical connector at the knock sensor (KS).

    4. Object Number: 1256163 Size: SH
  4. Remove the bolt and the KS.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1256163 Size: SH
  1. Install the KS with the bolt.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the KS bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1256162 Size: SH
  2. Connect the electrical connector at the KS.
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
