Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1962937 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
  3. Remove the fuel filter assembly. Refer to Fuel Filter Replacement.

    4. Object Number: 1863917 Size: SH
  4. Remove the engine wiring harness bracket.
  5. Disconnect the EGR and brake booster vacuum hoses.

    6. Object Number: 1820584 Size: SH
  6. Remove the vacuum pump.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820584 Size: SH
  1. Install the vacuum pump.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the vacuum pump tightening bolts to 12 N·m (8.9 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1863917 Size: SH
  2. Install the engine wiring harness bracket.
  3. Connect the EGR and brake booster vacuum hoses.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the engine wiring harness bracket nuts to 20 N·m (14.8 lb ft).

  4. Install the fuel filter assembly. Refer to Fuel Filter Replacement.
  5. Install the engine cover and bracket.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the beauty cover bracket bolts to 11 N·m (97.4 lb in).

  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
