1. Measure the camshaft journals with a micrometer.

If journals are more than 0.025 mm (0.0010 in) out-of-round, replace the camshaft.




2. Measure camshaft runout using Reverse Input Clutch Front Bushing Installation

2.1.	Mount the camshaft in V-blocks between centers.

2.2.	Use Reverse Input Clutch Front Bushing Installation in order to check the intermediate camshaft journal.

3. If runout exceeds 0.065 mm (0.0026 in), camshaft is excessively bent and should be replaced.
