Tools Required

1. Remove the differential assembly. Refer to Differential Replacement .



2. Remove the bell side differential side bearing by performing the following steps:

2.1.	Install the differential assembly in a vise.

2.2.	Install the J 22888-20A  (1) and the J 8107-4  (2) as shown.

2.3.	Remove the differential side bearing using the J 22888-20A .

3. Remove the differential assembly from the vise.



4. Remove the ring gear side differential side bearing by performing the following steps:

4.1.	Install the differential assembly in a vise.

4.2.	Install the J 22888-20A  (1) and the J 8107-4  (2) as shown.

4.3.	Remove the differential side bearing using the J 22888-20A .

5. Remove the differential assembly from the vise.

1. Install the ring gear side differential side bearing by doing the following:

1.1.	In order to protect the differential case, install the J 8107-4 in the case on the side opposite the bearing installation.

1.2.	Install the differential side bearing onto the differential case.

1.3.	Install the J 21784  (2) and the J 8092  (1) over the differential side bearing as shown.

1.4.	Drive the bearing onto the differential case using the J 21784 and the J 8092 .




2. Install the bell side differential side bearing by doing the following:

2.1.	In order to protect the differential case, install the J 8107-4 in the case on the side opposite the bearing installation.

2.2.	Install the differential side bearing onto the differential case.

2.3.	Install the J 21784  (2) and the J 8092  (1) over the differential case bearing as shown.

2.4.	Drive the bearing onto the differential case using the J 21784 and the J 8092 .

3. Install the differential assembly. Refer to Differential Replacement .
